As the second week of January for the year 2017 kicks off, movements in the Veterans Federation of the Philippines’ (VFP) Charter Organization and VFP-Regions XI and XIII have already taken place with names involving former Justice and World War II veterans Manuel R. Pamaran and Arnulfo D. Bañez. For Post-War veterans, the names of retired Philippine Constabulary Pedro I. Eder and retired Staff Sargent Daniel A. Cuizona surfaced.

Once a member of the Hunters ROTC and now as President of the famed group which lorded over the retaking of Nichols and McKinley Hills during the Second World War, retired Justice Pamaran has now moved up to the position of Vice-Chairman of the Supreme Council and the Executive Board from being the President of the Charter Organization.

On the other hand, Veteran Arnulfo D. Bañez was President of the United States Army Forces in the Philippines – North Luzon (USAFIP-NL), an accredited guerrilla group which helped eliminate Japanese Forces in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) is now the new President of the Charter Organization.

For VFP-Region XI, sworn to oath of office as its new Regional President by Supreme Council Chairman and VFP President Veteran Bonifacio G. De Gracia was Veteran Daniel A. Cuizona, who replaced Veteran Rogelio A. Pascua due to health conditions. As for VFP-Region XIII, Veteran Pedro I. Eder was sworn in as its new Regional President in place of Veteran Andres V. Atega due to health conditions as well. Both replaced Regional Presidents gave the consent, go-signal, and recommendation to the Executive Board for approval to ensure the efficiency and quality of service that their respective regions would give to all members of the Federation.

The Executive Board Meeting takes place every second Thursday of the month every month as per the VFP’s Constitution and Bylaws.
